I was in Amsterdam last summer for a short vacation. I was so impressed by this wonderful  city. After a comfortable flight I arrived to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Firstly I went to the hotel. I stayed at Casa 400 hotel. It was a 3 star budget hotel not so far from the city centre. I liked the friendly staff. After I had a rest at the hotel, I went to the famous Dam Square. By the way, Amsterdam is so good at transportation. You can reach everywhere easily by metro or bike. There are many places where you can hire bikes, what a lovely and clean enviroment the city has!

In Dam Square, there are many notable buildings such as National Monument, Royal Palace and De Bijenkorf department store. Then I went to Waterlooplein which is a square offering an open market that popular with tourists. I did some shopping there. It was cheap and lovely. In the afternoon I had a boat trip on the canals of Amsterdam. I higly recommend it. The trip was so fascinating by offering  the wonderful sights of this beautiful city.

The following day, I decided to visit some historical places. I went to the Museumplein. It was really lovely to find many museums in one square. I had a chance to visit  Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijik Museum and the Diamond Museum. I am a deep art lover so I was really impressed by these wonderful museums. Especially The Van Gogh museum was amazing. It is said to be the largest collection of Van Gogh paintings and drawings in the world. It was also so interesting to learn the history of diamond in Amsterdam by visiting the Diamond Museum. The Stedelijik is also the most important museum including the modern art that I loved so much. Anne Frank’s House was another impressing place that I loved to see. I had read her book before going there and it was really fascinating to visit the house. I just tried to remember the whole book and her lines while looking around the building.

At night, I went out for some fun and I have to say that Amsterdam nights were so vibrant! I went to the Leidseplein. The square was full of bars, restaurants, cafes and dance clubs. I found it hard to choose where to eat and dance. The next morning was the time to say goodbye, I will certainly go back and this time stay longer.

Enjoy the beautiful city of Amsterdam. With our cheap Amsterdam hotel rates there is no better time to go
