The plane tickets, the lodging, the food, the transportation–these things are more or less unavoidable when one goes out to travel. This is why there is always a need to do serious saving to get to see that place you’ve been eyeing for so long; that there are times when you think twice about buying that shirt or those shoes because you’ll think “I could get a whole day’s worth of meals for this.”
Traveling in luxury and style is undeniably fun, but this is not the only way to see the world. Traveling on a budget is something that more and more people are doing, and it just keeps on getting bigger–not to mention more fun by the minute. With the rise of airline promos and lots of different places for accommodation, traveling on a budget is already very possible.
Taiwan – Taiwan has seen many improvements in the past years, and there is no better time to visit but today. Taipei, its capital, is the place to see the best of both the old and modern treasures of the country. The country’s government just recently unveiled the TaiwanTourist Bus Travel Service, which will take you to some of the most important and beautiful parts of the city for relatively affordable rates.
India – Yes, this country never fails to make it in lists such as this one (or any travel-related topic for that matter), but we just can’t help but love India. Past visitors plan to visit again, and many are making their visiting plans come to life–all to experience the utterly vibrant culture that India has to offer. This is amazing for budget travelers because there are lots of cheap flights, the food is cheap, and the transportation once you’re there is affordable.
Thailand – This is another tourist-friendly destination that will not necessarily put a hole in your pocket. Especially if you’re earning dollars or euros, this place is where your money will go a long, long way. The money you pay for a bottle of beer at home will already be enough for you to be drunk here. The food is also so good and affordable, and there are many budget hotels in the city and islands flocked by your fellow tourists every year.
Egypt – Egypt has been tourist favorite for decades–with the baffling and breathtaking pyramids and rich history, who wouldn’t want to see this place? Unfortunately, though, Egypt‘s tourism has seen better days. visits have dramatically decreased in the past years, and the country’s doing everything to make it come back to normal again. One effort is a rapid decrease in rates of tours and excursions–this is a perfect time to chance upon an affordable stay.
Greece – This is another county that needs some major fixing these days, as the economy is at its worst. Though close to being bankrupt, this place still has the charm and beauty it has had for centuries. Athens is still especially wonderful, and the best part is the accommodations are a lot cheaper now, so you’re sure to find amazing deals here.
