Brussels was like a secret Heaven for me and my husband. We were going to attend a conference held in Brussels. Catalonia Forum Art Hotel Brussels was the comfortable place we stayed in during our visit. As the hotel was ideally located, it was a great base for exploring the city. Brussels had a lot to offer us. We observed some architecturally impressive buildings as well as great museums, parks and gardens.

The first attraction we were attracted to was the Atomium which was a magnificent monument. From a height of 102 meters, we could take amazing photos of Brussels. Grand Place was the next spot we visited. The flower carpet composed of beautiful begonias was enough to dazzle us. It is a must to smell the beautiful odor of begonias when in Brussels. The stunning view of the Town Hall at the square makes the area seem even more beautiful. We also took many photos of the guild houses located at the square.

Once in Brussels, we couldn’t have left the city without visiting Manneken Pis which is the symbol of Brussels. We couldn’t believe how tiny a statue it was! Well, we were used to seeing gigantic monuments and statues as the symbols of the cities we visited. Thus, we found Manneken Pis quite strange a symbol. It was the statue of just a little boy of about 60 cm tall. Anyway, it was still interesting to see it.

After visiting so many buildings, we wanted to see some greenery. Upon the advice of a friend, we headed to the beautiful garden called Place du Petit Sablon. The park was really beautiful and peaceful.

The conference we were going to attend was the next day and we had to leave Brussels afterwards, but we will certainly visit it again whenever it is possible
