Being female and being a massive football fan is something most men can’t get their heads around.. Lucky for me my partner and I both support the same football team which happens to be Arsenal

When my partner gave me my Valentines present a week early I was completely shocked I was expecting just the usual box of chocolates and bunch of flowers but what I got was a Football Holiday ok it was in the UK  but it was 5 nights and 3 days of Football what more could a girl ask for… That was not all he had managed to arrange it so that we got to watch two Arsenal matches!!

We arrived in London and were picked up from the station which was great we were then transferred to our hotel and checked in. Even though we lived in Swansea and had traveled many times to watch the games we had never seen any of the famous landmarks so we booked a tour and went and did the sights of London which was great..

The next day I was so excited as it was match day and Arsenal were playing Man United which is always a game you either end up loving or hating. We were picked up and transferred to the stadium however we decided to get dropped of a bit earlier so that we could walk to the stadium soaking in the atmosphere of the crowds.. Unlucky for us we lost 4 – 2 it was not a good day. I sulked for the remainder of the day…

We has the next day to relax which meant hitting the shops in Oxford Street trying to forget yesterdays activities we still had the game on the Saturday one we could certainly win..

The next morning we were picked up bright and early and headed up to Goodison Park home of Everton we did a tour of the Stadium and then watched the match against Norwich which was no way near as exciting as the Man U game but it was football so I was happy.

We headed back down to London after spending the day in Liverpool which was a great place but I was so excited I couldn’t wait to get back to London. We had a few days to do what we wanted before the game on the Saturday so we decided to do the London Eye which was scary but the views of London are awesome and you can see the arch of the new Wembley Stadium.

Well Saturday was upon us and we headed to the Stadium this time Arsenal beat Aston Villa 3 -1 which was a great result and the atmosphere in the stadium was electric and I was on cloud nine.

After the game we were supposed to be picked up and taken back to the hotel however we rang our rep and told him we would make our own way back and decided to go for a few drinks with fellow Arsenal fans and thanked him for organizing such a great tour.
The next day we checked out of the hotel and headed back to Swansea. This tour may not be for everyone but I had the best few days ever watching football, going to the stadiums and even getting time for shopping.
