On August 22 to 25, the streets of Aurillac in France will once again come alive with exceptional street performers and avant-garde and eye-catching performances. This is because the International Festival of Street Theatre officially opens once again.
Dating back to 1986, the festival takes place every year for four days and gathers 100,000 visitors to the whole town of Aurillac. The festival is made up of the Preliminaries where the festival unveils part of the official lineup. Various performances include art installations, elaborate machinery, circus acts, opera performances, dance troupes and more. And when the night sets in, a big party takes place highlighted by wild percussion sounds.
