EasyJet start flying from London gatwick to Sharm el Sheikh on the 1st April 2008. Flying time is approximately 5 hours and once you touch down in Sharm, the resort is easily reached from the airport by road in about 20 minutes.

At the airport you will find both regular taxis and tourist taxis but these ones charge twice as much! Minibuses also go to Sharm el Sheikh, they wait outside the airport terminal and will depart once they are full.

Where is Sham? Sharm el Sheikh situated on a coastal strip between the Red Sea and Mount Sinai. It’s a popular year round resort and a great place to get some winter sunshine.

The resort of Sharm el Sheikh has steadily grown over the years and is now a centre renown for its diving facilities. However if you prefer your activities to be on dry land then you will find plenty to keep you occupied including golf courses, horse and camel riding opportunities, desert safaris, boat trips and excursions which also take in Moses mountain and for the night owls among you, you are not forgotten as nightlife awaits!

Visit the old market and you will be in for a treat of the senses, narrow streets and alleyways are crammed with shops and more shops, many selling Sinai and Egyptian type souvenirs. The Old Market is also where you can enjoy a simple and fresh seafood meal.
