This is undoubtedly one of the most important arts and crafts events in the country, so if you wish to be a part of an event filled with activities facilitated by the best people in the field, you need to buy tickets now! Over 200 skilled artisans from Texas will have workshops as well as exhibits of their work such as lace-making, quilting, jewelry-making, candle-dipping, and mixed media. If you are looking for new stuff to put in your room, or if you simply want to learn the trade, this is the perfect place to try it.
Be prepared to learn, promote your work, and have lots of fun in this one-of-a-kind celebration. Different creations using materials such as glass, ceramic, leather, fiber, wood, sculpture, and metal will be part of the exhibition, so there is surely something in store for all kinds of visitors. There are lots of things in store for the kids as well—activities such as talent shows, rock climbing, and cave painting will all be a part of the whole event. There will even be a petting zoo, so make sure you come early to interact with the most adorable animals!
This festival will go on for three whole days, so there is a lot of time to explore and learn new stuff from the experts. You will also get to meet creative and hardworking students who will be competing to get scholarship for the Emerging Texas Artist Scholarship Program, which will greatly help young and emerging artists to share their art to the world. Music will also be around, as different performances by talented groups will entertain the whole park. You will also witness a musical performance that will determine who will be crowned the next Texas Star, which will award the winner cash, a chance to record in a studio, and press release. Also, country music star Jack Ingram will also be having a concert at the park!
Food and beverages that can be enjoyed picnic-style will be served all day by different concessionaires and respected culinary exhibitors, so there is no need to worry about leaving the area and heading out.
By attending and participating in the activities, you will get to help with the funding of the Texas Arts and Crafts Educational Foundation, so you will be surrounded by art and be able to lend a helping hand as well.
For a three-day admission, adults will only have to pay $10 ($7 will be charged if you’d only show up on Monday), and kids 12 and below will only need to pay $2. This event generates hundreds and thousands of dollars each year, so there is no doubt that you’ll only get the best quality products.
