In autumn, my family and I went to Tunisia for a short vacation. It took us a two-hour flight to the  Tunis-Carthage International Airport which is the most important airport in Tunisia. We stayed El Hana International Hotel which is only 15 minutes from the Carthage Airport. There were some beaches just 15 minutes away from the hotel. The hotel was good, clean and well-serviced but the decoration was a bit out of fashion.

In the morning, we went to ASMA in Tunis to do some shopping. We surprised to see that some shops were closed and learned on Fridays they were supposed to be closed. However, this couldn’t stop me and I bought some jewellery in the shape of Fatima’s hand. I heard that in Tunisia, Fatima’s hand meaned good luck.

We visited the Bardo Museum which dates back 13th century. It had the best mosaics that I’ve ever seen. We also visited the Great Mosque, and the Dar-al-Bey Palaca. The city was really full of history and we were fascinated by the charming atmosphere.

In Tunisia, we also enjoyed the sunny weather, it was much more hotter than Turkey in that season. I had a great time in there with my family. Both city and hotel were perfect, I higly recommend you to go Tunisia.
